Smile Plese help me with blended images

I hope I am in the right forum for this--I need help --I tried a blended image and I noticed that whenever my subject moved to a different position in my shots--the exposure changed--I mean that I did not change the Aperture or the shutter speed or the ISO--the exposure just changed and the background does not match in all photos. He is my first attempt--besides a lot of extra chair legs--the woods on the table and floor etc do not match. How do I take a multiple set of photos of the same subject without the exposure changing--I hope I am not being confusing here--I loved doing this and want to do more--but really a beginner in need of your advice.

Hi Joanne,

I'll chime in here. Firstly, I LOVE what you've done and really love the fact that you got that bonus image in mirror!!

Admittedly, I've not tried this kind of shot yet, but the first thing that comes to my mind on the exposure is the fact that you're using natural sunlight that moves across a room a little more quickly than one might think. I'm guessing this, along with the different positions within your light source are the cause for the changes in the automatic exposure changes. You could try this shot using a more consistent lighting source and see if that helps - otherwise, I hope someone with actual experience in this will answer your questions.

BTW, I don't think I would have ever noticed the floor and table being different - you could also try just cloning those areas. This is a very creative exercise! I'm impressed that your subject was willing to do this for you! I have to beg for my teen-aged kids to even look in my direction when the camera goes up!

Very nice work!

belladoja, Welcome

Here's 26 pages on a thread devoted to your subject. Somewhere in there may be all the answers you seek!

Quintuplets Car Wash

Here's a link to Group Shot from that thread, which apparently helps a lot:

Thanks so much--Got to thinking about it and thought that maybe a consistant lite source would help. I have another one in the works and will try yet another one. My grandson loves this one and loves to tell everyone about who he is playing with. He is a great poser. I will also have a look at those links-- I am willing to glean whatever help I can --thanks for sharing and encouraging.
