Cool Is the exposure right?

Alright, So I took this shot of my buddy wakeboaring the other day. Wanted to give it that extra flair so I ran it throught Adobe's Lightroom2. I read up on a Graduated filter tutorial that had to do with landscaping and thought I would try it out. Works great on landscapes, however I had a subject in my photo and I had to use the brush to "paint" back the exposure of his face and body.

So my question is...Does he look compatible with the shot...is he too exposed? Does it look like a cut-out that was put in place. It does to me, but i've been staring at this photo for 4 hours and I know it's secrets. So what does it look like to you?

it does look like the head was pasted on there frome somewhere else, but other than that i like it a lot. its a very cool effect. i love the color of the water. if you could make the face look a little more natural it would be awesome.

Not to be too blunt, but the whole thing looks pretty bad. What does the original look like?
