Default Ocean Portrait

Well this picture turned out pretty dark originally and I had to do some photoshop work but couldn't bring out too many details without noise. I'm somewhat happy with how it came out but I would like some suggestions on what you guys might have done with it. I know there's a lot more potential for some good PP work here.

I wonder if you might have shot it with a higher ISO and enabled the in camera noise reduction ( which actually works pretty well ) might have given you more freedom to adjust it.

Actually the more I look at it, the brighter it seems to get. The spots of white light are distracting, the one in the middle seems like a pivot point to me.

I like Dutch-tilt.. but they look best at 45 degrees as applied to the rule of third.. where the #1 interection connects the #4 (think tic-toc-toe 1-left top , 2 right top, 3 left bottom, 4 right bottom ) or another variation of criss cross.

The forground is just negative space, I would have cropped it just beyond the reflection of the sky. I brought it up in PS and did just a quick once over to see what I meant.I don't think the noise is very noticable.nothing great, just spent a few minutes with it. I want you to do it

I really like some of the shots on your flickr BTW .. the sepia dog is amazing
