Were you shooting in RAW? If so you should be to make a few simple adjustments to brighten it up a bit. That's the beauty of RAW - so forgiving!

technically the shot is good. As for these kind of shots.. you have to construct them in a way that it tells a story of some kind! Here you can see that the second picture there's a story there, while in the first its pretty hard to find a story. Hope that helps!

Great thing. I love the drunk girl on the second picture, looks like she had too many caipirinhas for her own good.
The idea of posting two pictures gave me an idea. What if you make a series of those pictures, showing time going by? Let's say, five "shots', the first picture with all the girls happy and having fun and the last picture showing them all with too much ethanol in the blood? It would look interesting.
