hmm, honestly I dun really like it, I feel the black part of his eye is overdone. The top right of his hair, sideburns, bottom of the backhair and at the bottom of his nose has a faint whitish glow? There are more but Im having a hard time trying to describe it.

I don't care for the background coffee color very much. I would have just gone with a light colored background such as white. Also the eyes and hair are over done. I would use some masking to bring some of the shadows back into the image. I think the same could probably be done a little around the lips and tie as well.
I do like the skin tone color, pose, lighting and depth of field in the image. I just don't think the processing you have chosen compliments an otherwise good portrait. Thank you for sharing

Thanks for reply! Yeh, you are right the image is contrast (black and light areas). Ok, I’ll try to remove blinks from nose. The black and white burn eyes should attract you point of view. Am I right?
The idea of this post process is create the character but not take a realistic portrait.

At first look the eyes go WOW but after a minute or 2
and my brain caught up, this is not that bad an image.Definitely the eyes are way overcooked, bring back the detail with some dodge and burn. Bring them back to the same tone as the rest of the face. And the outer glow, try increasing the size. and it is also glowing over the man's collar giving it a false look. Clean this up, it's the little detail that makes the difference. |
