Default my friends car in HDR

ok so im new to this forum so hi all!

anyways i have been into photography for a short while now but i thought i would start out with one of my latest and favourite pictures i have taken recently. my main target for photo's is cars and i like to have some lairly HDR's to show off at the same time. so this shot incorperates both.

the picture was taken as a spur of the moment shot in my driveway just before we got started changing his wheels over.

the shot details are;

8 separate shots all at ISO100 at F/8. the longest shot was 1 sec and i dropped the shutter speed by one stop each time till i got to 1/160 seconds. all the photos were put into Photomatix and then the resulting image was subject to a few tweeks here and there in photoshop (including removing a bit of water that got on the lens and removing the dent in his wing ). then it was a matter of some general fixing including dodging the areas of halo glow around the edge of the house and car etc

let me know if there are any areas which could be doing with fixing and if yu like the image as a whole. also any other comments yu wish to throw in would be grately appreciated!

First off, awesome ride! I'm a vw guy myself... As for an HDR image, I actually like it and normally I can't stand hdr shots. My only "thing" is that the building edge has a little haloing effect towards the sky. A little burn tool could easily solve that problem though.

I noticed the building halo right away also - as well as right above the hood of the car.

Love the angle of the shot!

Im more of a Mazda guy (loves me my rotary), but I do have a softspot for VWs.

This is a great exaple, and a great shot. The halo effect doesnt bother me. I always like car HDRs.

love the subtle hdr! I love the detail in the bricks too I think I would just try to tone down the halo on the building like the above posters suggested... and maybe clone out the parking line in the lower left corner? for some reason it caught my eye.
