Default New Member...Let Me have it !!

Ok, brand new member here, and I'd like some input on this shot.

Photoshop CS4 Extended....Glow action and Gallery frame action

Some contrast enhancement...

All critiques welcome...I'm might be old, but I can still learn !!

Thanks ...

The composition is great and love the subject and the framing. I do like the effects you gave it. Apears to be IR.
I think the problem is the overexposed sky. The eye is drawn to bright areas and because this is so bright it takes the attention away from what should be the focal point.

I agree with windrider, it is very bright. I would also let you know that it is a little soft for my liking, try sharpening it up a but, maybe darken it some, play with the saturation a touch, and you should have a great photo!

I think its a nice idea and all I would do is add a layer with a very light grey to the sky and then I'd bring in the sliders on the levels adjustment. Get a bit more true black in the shot.
I like the soft appearance but think a bit of selective sharpening like to the bridge only might work. Composition is right on.....
It has a real dreamy feel to it....

Thank you everyone !!! I'm going to adjust this photo a little more tonite, and repost it for your continued, much appreciated, critique.

There are just loads of these covered bridges near where I live, and I've got a winter outing planned to hopefully be able to catch some very dramatic pictures with snow, and some good sky formations.

Thanks again....

Jim
