Default Selective colourisation

Hi All,

This is the first time I've tried this technique. Actually the first time I've done any work with layers really.

I found the tutorial here: http://www.gimpguru.org/Tutorials/Se...eColorization/

I'd love to hear any comments on the image now that it has had this treatment (original can be seen on my Flickr page), and also any suggestions for refining my technique.

EXIF Data from original image:

Equipment Make: NIKON CORPORATION
Camera Model: NIKON D50
Camera Software: GIMP 2.4.6
Maximum Lens Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length (35mm Equiv): 27 mm
Exposure Time: 1/400 sec
F-Number: f/10.0
Exposure Program: Normal Program
Exposure Bias: -0.7 EV
Flash: No Flash
Focal Length: 18.00 mm
ISO Speed Used: 200
Lens Type: Nikon D Series

Many thanks!

Luke.

At this size, your technique looks great - I don't see any fuzzy/sloppy edges. If your intent was to focus attention on the sign you did a great job!

Selective colorization was how I started getting the hang of layers. Keep having fun!
