A friend of a friend wanted me to do a collage with 6 photographs of their family with an oriental back ground/theme so I took it on deciding it would be good practice for my PSE6 skills :-)
I'd like to know if there's anything you think that could be done better - unfortunately the photo's wern't that great (the boy in every shot was a bit blurry, and the lighting was just... I'll just say the photo's wern't easy to work with so I did what I could...)... Any critique would be greatly appreciated, thank you so very much in advance.

I really like the concept. Personally, I would arrange the photos a little different. You've got three shots of all three and then one with each parent and the boy. I would have the color shot of all three in the center and the shots with the boy and one parent on either side. I'd have one photo on the bottom of the three in B&W and change the size accordingly for the collage.

Thank you - I just did that version, but put the b&w's to the side a bit due to size constraint... What do you think? (Attatching)

I like that much better. After seeing this one, how about not having the B&Ws, unless they are a required to be included. If they are, I'd move them so the outer edges were even with the photos they are above and over. Just do an overall spacing check. Equal distance from the center for the two outer pictures which should all subsequently centered on the background.

I'm not sure if they're required, but here it is :-) I eyeballed the spacing for it, so it may be slightly off.. is there a tool that helps with that?
Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions! I really appreciate it! Quote:

That looks great. It is more balanced now. Depending upon what software editing program, you should be able to view the ruler, both top and left and create guidelines that will make photo placement easier.

I don't see the ruler thing - but here's a more centered version of the photo (i think/hope).

You're welcome....
I don't use elements, but I do use CS3. You should be able to tell the program to "View"-->"Ruler". From that point, I'm able to just drag from the rulers to create guidelines. I don't know if that is the same in Elements.
