Thanks for the compliment!

I would rather not try to teach you as I'm a noob here as well! All I can say is that I have shot the photo above at f5.6 zoomed to 61mm on my 17-85mm lens.

I have to say i really like the first shot. The clouds dont personally bother me but it wouldnt hurt if you did crop some off the top, but i wouldnt do much. I think i would have moved the car a little further to the right in framing but thats just me The second shot you posted i liked better in BW.

The HDR is well done, ie not overdone. The B&W of the second one really speaks to me though. It tells a good story with the old car left for dead and dropped off there via the old bridge in the background.

I like the first composition a lot better. The 2nd one has a lot of distractions.
