Sorry for leaving out the info. I took this on a Nikon L120, point and shoot, I have no idea what the EXIF is. I used Photoshop CS5, changed it to B&W, increased the contrast and added some noise. I wanted the focus of the photo to be the shape of the car but I'm concerned that after editing it looks too "fake." When I say "overdone," does it look as if the image has been over-edited?

Well, if you are trying to show off the rust and imperfections in the car, I think you're on the right track. I think this image could be really nice if the top side of the car wasn't so overexposed and washed out. Maybe if you make that portion a little darker, or add some amount of texture to that part of the car.
Did you apply a threshold to this image? It sort-of looks like you did. |

This looks like art. If you ask me i think you have achieved what you set out to do. I like it. I dont think you need to change it in any way. Good job.
