I took this shot last night to try out light trails. I used photomatix for some effects and tone mapping. Can you critique the way i processed the photo and even the way I took the picture.
any other comments are also fine. thanks.

shutter speed: 15 sec
aperture: 2.8
iso: 800
exposure: +2

Hi!

I love how you've used the effect here, it's a really good looking photo.
One thing I'd be interested in would be to see how the shot would look with the barrier of the motorway in the middle of the shot. Having the oncoming traffic seems to knock the balance of the photo slightly, but that might just be me.
Asides from that, a nicely done and interesting HDR.

Kind regards.

Thank you. I was also wondering on why I dont have that much red lights on the other side of the freeway. I guess I would have to re-shoot again and wait for another rain storm here in san diego. we dont get much of them here.

I dont know how to post the image here on the forum. I would have to research on it or if there's a tutorial here that would be better.

Looks great! Not that it matters but I would have shot in the lowest ISO to make sure I didnt have any noise. With longer shutter speeds we dont need higher ISO.
But still a good looking shot.

I like it a lot. The tones are gutsy, and the lighting is really cool. It's a strong looking image. If you don't get that kind of situation to photograph where you live very often, then you did really well to make use of it and get the capture while it was there. Well done.
