Default Old Growth Cypress Swamp Forest

Did I pull off the composition? This is an HDR shot that I tried to make it look as real as possible. Hopefully I pulled that off too.

I took the bracketted shots at 0.70 EV. I used a low Apeture ( high number) Cant remember which one or how to find out.

I used a slighltly shower shutter speed to compensate for the higher apeture setting to get as much depth of field as possible.

The one thing I could not figure out was to find some sort of scale in the shot to illustrate just how big the trees were. They are humungous. The oldest growth forest east of the mississippi. Soem of those trees reached over 18 stories high.

What could I have changed in terms of composition in this shot?

I like the composition. I think the plant in the right foreground provides some foreground interest. Besides including a person in the shot, I don't know what you could have done to show the scale. You could use a man-made object, but that might ruin the mood of the shot.

I see the purple leaves too, but the other colors in the shot look accurate. The trees might look a little more impressive if you shot from a lower perspective.
