Default Flour mill

I took this shot of a flour mill in my area. It was overcast that day and the colors weren't very good so I decided to go with a yellow duotone effect. I would like feedback on what people think and what I could do to improve the image.

Thanks

I think you need to do away with that greenish tint and either just go b&w or b&w with a sepia tone.

I would also prefer to see a B&W version. I would have suggested trying to get down closer to the water also (if possible).

Thanks for all the feedback.

I started out with B&W and didn't like the results. That is why I added the yellow tint. The B&W version is below.

I will say Im not sue what your shutter speed it though, I would have like to see a slower shutter speed to smooth out the water, but thats just a personal prefrence.

I keep coming back to this thread cause I havent figured out if I liked or what it was about the first photo. It does have a draw to it, so - I like it.
I really kinda like the coloring to it. Gives it kind of an otherly world feel to it. Perhaps a tiny bit less green/yellow, but for the most part I'd leave it.
I like the composition and I like the fact that you didnt blur the water. Silky water photos, to me, should be left for those photos that are supposed to be calming. This is a photo about history, something that looks abandoned and therefore should have the water running hard and natural. Does that make sense at all?

I love the black and white effect over the green tint, sets a lot more of a darker mood to the photo. Would love to know what settings you used tho...

I definitely don't like the B&W version as much as the first option. I think I'd like it better as just a sepia or the Aged Photo option that Lightroom has. That setting has such a great historic feeling to it that the B&W is too contemporary and bright.

I like them both but, black and white much more. I also think maybe it would look better if you had more exposure on the black and white.
