It is more like a lomo than an HDR effect, with increased rather than reduced contrast.

The short answer to your equally short question is no. The goal of a well executed HDR is to show details normally lost because of the limited dynamic range of most cameras..sorry to say the details in your image are less defined, and quite murky. Your image looks more like one using a grunge plug in filter like you'd find in the Topaz suite.

I am unfit to comment on whether it's a good HDR technique or not. I know almost nothing about it. But I read the other comments before I saw your image and expected to be disappointed, and wasn't. As an Image I quite like it. I like what some of the highlights are doing on the car, and I like the texture in the wall to name a few of the elements I think are good.

I like the overall feel, graphic quality, and color palette.
The only thing that bothers me is the rear panel being open on the car. It is a good HDR if that is what it took you to get there and that is where you wanted to go. Of course I like and do pretty extreme HDR at times. |
