Hi!
I just found this site when trying to learn to get the Lomo-effect on my pictures. The guide on this site was great, but I'm still unsure about a couple of things. Specifically the Lab Color/Unsharp Mask-part; when is it enough? Is less more? Is there actually any way to tell? The picture is of an organ, and basically what I'm afraid of is to loose too much of the masonry, but still get the Lomo-effect. Nikon d90 w/18.0-200.0mm f/9 1/125 ISO 200 65mm Edit: Added Exif-data. Oops, sorry :/ Last edited by ronny pedersen; 11-14-2011 at 11:12 PM. |

I've only tried the lomo effect once and I'm not sure I did too well at it, so I'm far from an expert, but I think this is perfect.
I like everything about this photo.

That image is great! I'm not sure I see the Lomo effect as I think of severe color shifts in such things...
I'm also of the thought process that contrast varies in the way that films come out of the Lomo dependant upon a few factors like processing, etc. For example some film looks very hi-contrast and others really low. What's fun about new processing techniques, tho- is along the way you stumble into something YOU like that is yours! Have fun!
