I love the color of the scene. Is the statue bronze? I like the simplicity of the image. I don't know all the circumstances of you coming across this scene or if time permitted but one really cool compositing if it was possible would be to modify the perspective so the statue appears to be holding or point to the sun as it sets. Also I would have liked to have the statue in focus. As for texture I'm not really seeing a whole lot here nore do I think an image like this really needs a strong texture to hold it together. What holds this image together is the color and simplicity.

Yes, it is bronze, unfortunately I shot a slow speed so the image was not sharp
