Default HDR Attempt #1

An abandoned barn on a closed road seemed like a great subject for my first attempt at HDR. Please help me!

Hi MmusicmanN,

Here is my take on the image.

Composition
===========

You have a good set of lines in the shot. They are crossing each other at different angles; adds dynamic to the composition. However, I still do not know what you wish for me to see, like focus on. Maybe a re-crop based on golden mean would bring more life and subject to the shot?

Colors
===========

Colors in this shot are very earthly. You have captured the details in the roof very well however, the colors towards the ground seem to get washed out. I recommend you bring the natural wood color into the shot by using one of the underexposed shots.

Creativity
==========

It is hard to take indoor pictures in an unique way, especially when your building barely has walls. Nonetheless I see a good contrast between art & function; almost as if the wood is coming from the ground like a tree and the metallic roof being the leaves of this tree. I would recommend taking a few more shots till you find a more appealing perspective with the right balance of tones.

Tips
==========

I recommend you underexpose the shot a little more to capture the details in the sky. Try using quick masks to accurately blend the tones from the different exposure levels.

On a side note, I notice some purple tinging in the background, I do not know if this is because of the lens you used or post processing. Look at the bottom right towards the back of the barn.

I look forward to see what you come up with.
