Hi people

I have tried to create a soft focus effect and would appreciate any feedback, I have also used a bleach bypass to desaturate the image.

Have I done too much ??
Can I improve it ??
Any general critique would be welcome too
thanks in advance

The bleaching takes the green of the leaves out & the soft focus is surely not what you want when 30%+ of your image is gritty stone, surely you'd want to accentuate those textures? I would...
Doors & windows are a classic subject as they are suggestive of 'realms beyond', but I'd go back & re-edit that nice shot?

I'm no expert but I'd crop both the vertical line of the black cable out on the left & the white fence post on the right. Also, as a learner-plate wearer, I'd try to burn a little light into the dark area at the bottom of the main plant in photoshop or your favourite photo editor. Hope that helps? I do love a still, contemplative image though I struggle with people pictures. Another thing to work on :-)

The second picture looks much better than the first. I would bring in some more detail to the shot and do some color correction. If you have the raw file, try increasing clarity to 30 or higher. Also tweak the green hue to be slightly brighter.

Try to brighten the image around the leaves, as of now its kinda flat as far as contrast is concerned.
