This was one of my first HDRs, it was not taken with a SLR ( I just got a D7000) i took 6 pictures using my old FZ100 Lumix, and would like to hear some comments on the pic.

To be honest, this type of HDR isn't really my thing - I prefer a more natural image. I'm really not an expert, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of detail in the windows so maybe the HDR isn't necessary.
I do however really like the composition - The anchor makes a really imposing subject and it looks as though it has some really great texture - I would love to see this image as it came out of the camera - maybe with some editing of the curves and a b&w conversion. |

I prefer the more subtle HDR the vast majority of the time also. This one looks overcooked to me. There are very heavy halos around the windows. Also, it looks like the light reflecting off the anchor is blown out. Maybe you needed to take a wider range of exposures.
The subject matter and composition are good.
