Default Lots Road Power Station

I know that selective colour is a much over used and now derided technique, but whilst I was editing the raw file and converting to b&w, I thought I'd give it a go, you know - just casually- to see what the outcome was. I actually liked the "film noir" ish tone it gave the image. I'd like to throw it out to the group and see what the general opinion is - does the selective colour work?
Thanks for looking and any comments are more than welcome.
Cheers
Chris

Site info:
Lots Road power station once supplied power to the London Underground network. It was built in 1904 and finally decommissioned in 2003 (I think). It is now facing redevelopment as a residential site. In its run down state, I think it makes for an extremely atmospheric location.

For me, this is a really good image. It's interesting and sharp enough. I like the selective color a lot. If you didn't leave that color, the light trails would look like what? Wisps of smoke or something. You'd have a hard time with viewers figuring out what was going on.

Nice work. Looks like something out of Sin City.

I was thinking the exact same thing Kaa..
Very nicely done RH... Although cleaner sharper edges on the buildings would have given it more depth I think and would have made me look over my shoulder for bad girls with swords and uzis...
