![]() We Move by philografy, on Flickr Camera: Canon EOS REBEL T1i Exposure: 0.2 sec (1/5) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 55 mm ISO Speed: 400 I'm mostly looking for critiques on the "aging" process I applied here... is it too much? Not enough? Is there anything about the photo that stands out as obviously NOT being an old photo? TIA! |

Just addressing the vintage effect:
When I first looked at this, something felt just a bit off. At first I couldn't figure out what it was, but after looking at the image again today, I think it is that the slides in the photo look like they're really smoothly colored and very contrasty. This doesn't feel quite right to me. Even in the sepia conversion, they look like fiberglass or plastic, and new. For a '50s photo of a fair, I'd expect a more worn look, probably with scratches (showing up as discoloration) in the bottom of the dips on the slides.

I think adding a scratched effect might help the aged look but overall it's well done, IMHO. TFS Philip. cheers! Ian
