Default Backyard b&w hdr

Hello,
I'm a beginner and played a litte with the aeb-funktion of my new canon eos 500d. It's one of my first hdr images. Maybe some of you can give me a piece of advice to improve for next times. The pictures were taken without a tripot during holidays last week in barcelona. The Pictures were edited with photomatix and gimp.

Love the lighting and the detail towards the front of the image. What I'm not fond of is the dumpsters (clutter) int he front and the large amount of totally black space.

Love the light, no clipping and drives the eye towards the inside of the frame.

What I would have loved to see is that the dark area being less dark (i.e. some brightness added) as the details are almost lost and it gives negative space.

I agree, love the shot, just wish the outer edges weren't so dark.

I love the shot as well. It's like something from a Dickens novel (if they had banquet chairs and new trash cans!). I, though, can actually see everything out to the edges, so bringing in light there would lose something for me.

I also like this photo. I also like the dark edges.

My only complaint is the garbage and chairs. When I first look at this picture, my eye is drawn immediately to the wall in the background. Then it starts to wander toward the garbage and the chairs.

I agree with the comments about the dark part of the picture. A couple of more over-exposed photographs would have brought out the detail in the foreground, I think
