Default Interior - HDR

Hello all!
I hope you can help me out with this image and improving my HDR shooting skills more maybe!

I'd like to ask some questions first :

- Is it better to take more than 3 exposures ? Why ?
- Im using Photomatix Pro for merging the exposures, but every time i merge the photos i notice that my photo is a bit noisier, is it just me ? or the postprocessing generates noise ?

Thank you!
Regards, Manuel.

First, I am no expert on anything photography, let alone HDR.

I've heard (read) in the past that 5 steps works better than just three for HDR images as it allows for more variables to generate the image. My camera only allows 3 steps bracketing. I really don't know if the added images are adding noise or not since I haven't been able to try it.

There is a dialog box that asks about noise reduction before pocessing in Photomatix Pro. Have you tried clicking "Yes" on that?

After tonemapping etc. with Photomatix Pro, you can open the image in your photo editor and reduce noise there if needed.
