windrider86, I am a relatively new person here, but out of the 6 guidelines/rules you directed me to, I seem to have met 6, with the specific question in subj: Can you see the big edit? - as this is how it was called in another discussion a few weeks back.
So, did I miss anything? and
Does anyone see the big edit?
Thanks!

Steve,
If I understand your shorthand …. It is a practice shot. I wanted to use more picturesque models, but asked my kids to do this one, just to make sure that I can merge two hand-held shots made at a different angle (i.e. you can’t just cut and paste). However, I was later told that people just see two persons on two sides of a strange lavabo, and do not see the trick. Hence, I abandoned the idea.

If you want to do a good merge, try the classic anorexia photo, ie. thin girl looking in the mirror at a large girl

Why would that one be more interesting or challenging? Indeed, the merge is a no-brainer if you shoot from a tripod without touching the camera or the light, anorexic or not. No?

Because if you did that, then it wouldn't be a merge that had no meaning to it, and it would actually require some skill while positioning the people in the same way, rather than your image which is just two people in any random pose.

Wow. SteveC I think you are completely missing the point and being a bit of an a$$.

As a unique picture of your two kids I think it works. Especially if it shows something of how they behave towards each other.

Can I see the edit? Not really. Is it obvious that it is an edit? Yeah, kind of.
