I was shooting for artsy. This is one of many from my Route 66 HDR series that intend to sell as fine art.
Is this pic aldente or did I over cook it? What would you change in it? ![]() EXIF CANON T2i 1/200 Sec f 8.0 ISO 100 Processed in Photomatix Pro

I don't think the photo is over cooked. There is a dramatic atmosphere that I think you wanted to create and the colors are good (especially in the rusted areas).
On the other hand I find the photo a bit over-cropped. Since the car is the subject of the photo I would have liked to see more of the right and upper sides of the frame to include the car completly. |

It is a little overcropped but I don't think it's a lost cause. For this shot I don't think it's overcooked (it's subjective I know) but it has strong impact here. As someone else has suggested in another post the telephone wires could be cloned out.

![]() After posting this I noticed a splotchy clone out in the upper left and went and removed it. Sorry this does not reflect that.

I'm going to disagree with the others and say I think it is overcooked. That being said I don't hate it. I usually prefer HDR that doesn't look obvious, especially with landscapes and natural scenes. However in this case I think the treatment you have given it suits the subject matter, it highlights the rusty, abandoned feel that it has.
And I do agree that it is overcropped, particularly across the top - can't win 'em all!

I have revisited this body of work again and I think I found a shot that works
Old Truck - Route Revisited - Different Frame I think I have addressed all of the criticisms aside from over cooking it. Thanks to all of you for making my final photo so much better.
