Default Some HDR Experiments

Hi all-
I'm trying to develop my HDR skills. Making some progress (I hope so anyway) Please look and critque the shot and see if I am making any progress. I've deleted at least a dozen because they just looked dreadful. Thanks in advance for any help!

It doesnt look bad, but honestly cant see where you used or needed to use HDR...which means it looks natural..not a bad thing.

Ditto. .there's nothing that tells me this is HDR in any way. Not sure if that's good or bad considering you were clearly going for a specific look and all it looks like to me is a well exposed image.

Hey-
Thanks for commenting. I was trying to enhance the black and white ( fat flowing from the crusty black). I have been doing over the top stuff but I wanted to see if I could keep reality and bring out more detail.

Here is my Vincent Van Goeh painting at a beach in Costa Rica. The total opposite of the roast shot. This is "over the top" to experiment. I am just starting so I guess I go to extremes to test the medium.

Again Thanks for comments.
