I wanted to try something different on flowers and I've been working on using HDR and tonal mapping in photomatix and photoshop. I found these peachy-orange colored Lillys beside my neighbors house.
I wanted feedback on the composition, color, and whether this was a pleasing treatment in general to anyone else but me. ![]() Camera: D700 Lens: AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED ISO: 200 Exposure 1/320 @ f/3.0 3 exposures +1, 0.0, -1

First I want to disclose that I'm not an expert in HDR or photography in general by any means, but for me the processing doesn't look like it was too over the top to make it unpleasing.
As far as the composition goes personally I find it a bit boring being dead center although you do have very good use of DOF so maybe it's okay? I think I'd want to see if I could get any other angles and perspectives from these flowers they do look really cool and definitely offer some photographic opportunities.

Thanks so much for your feedback. The flowers were gorgeous, but having them dead center in the photo isn't very interesting. If I'm lucky it may stop raining so I can go outside and have another go at a more pleasing angle.
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your thoughts
