Awesome shot!

I think another possibility on a shot would be to include some gauge/fairing of the bike in the reflection as well, then photoshop the speedo and tach like he is doing a high speed run on the road. Just a thought.

Thank you :-)

Actually someone on another forum mentioned getting the bike in shot too, so its a suggestion I need to think about for future shots like this

Very cool actually. The only thing I'd say, and I'm being picky, is that there is a bit of halo-ing where the ground meets the sky in the reflection which made me think you HDRed it before I read that in fact you did.

Having said that, it's still and excellent shot. I'd love it if I were the subject. Well done and congrats on the fist job.

EDIT: and if possible, get a reflector to put some light on his chest as it's all a bit dark and will make him pop a bit more.

Hi, I haven't HDR'd it... I have posted a different pic of a rider in HDR which I mentioned in another post so I probs confussed things by mentioning that ... with this I created a couple of extra layers of the visor, changed the blending to soft light, and did a lot of dodge and burn. I probably wasn't careful enough with the horizon, I hadn't noticed it though so good spot... I have only recently been experimenting with dodge and burn, so it shows I need to be a little more careful next time.

Good call on the reflector... its defo on my list of things to buy

Thank you for your comments

Beautiful work! I would have to go the other way and suggest the disembodied head. And send it to AGV. They will probably buy it or at least put you on their short list of photographers to call.
