Smile New to photography

Hi there

I have been a follower of this site for about a year now and am truly amazed at the stuff people post here. I still think im new to photography but i have wanted critique for sometime now. So here goes, my first post and i would love your thoughts and comments.

Well, it doesn't look like you're that new to photography. I really like these shots. In #1 with the color selection I think you could have gone with a much brighter colour on the broken plastic, but that may be just my personal preference. I like the magenta touch on #3 & #4 and all are well framed. I'm only recently getting back into this hobby after a few decades hiatus, but afaic good work!

Thank you Bruce Im going to go back to the first image and see what i can do n will post up the results when i can.
I only got my first SLR (Cannon 500d) so i still fell very new to photography. I grew up watching my dad take on the hobby and was always fascinated by it and now i seek to turn this into something full time.

My pleasure. On relooking at your shots, try increasing the exposure on the background a just little on #2 the b&w shot. It's really good, but I think it may benefit from a little more background contrast.
