G'day just thought I would share my first black and white conversion.
I would like to know if you think this is over processed, I converted to black and white and then used the sharpness adjustment Before ![]() After ![]() I took this with my D3100 and processed it in photoshop Peter Camera Nikon D3100 Exposure 0.006 sec (1/160) Aperture f/6.3 Focal Length 26 mm Focal Length 25.9 mm ISO Speed 100 Exposure Bias 0 EV Flash Auto, Did not fire

I think the images need to be no more than 740 on the longest side for upload here.
Nice image though I think it looks a bit to busy.

i think the conversion went a bit too far. there are places where all the detail was blown out. and like the other reply said it is very busy. I think that can be fixed or at least you can make the truck stand out more with a burn to make the BG darker.

Second - I looks like a photocopy of an image from a book... the contrast is just to overdone.

Hi Peter I agree basically with what everyone else has said. Although it depends on the look you're after. If you want surreal you've achieved it. But if you want it t look natural yep you've gone way too far. The sharpness tool in photoshop is very sensitive. Especially the radius slider. You only have to move that a tiny tiny amount.
If you are going for a surreal over sharpened look that's ok because it suits the heavy metal subject. Keep going I look forward t seeing more. Mel
