Default First HDR Motorcycle

I've been experimenting with HDR and So far I think this turned out the best. I used Photomatix for the program. But I still need help. What do you think about the composition? And I cant figure out how to clean up the black part of the motorcycle above the back wheel. Any suggestions you have are appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to look.

I took this with my Canon XTi.

As someone who isn't a fan of the highly overcooked HDR look, I'm going to abstain from commentary about that.

I will say the composition is way too tight. You've cut off the back tire, front tire, and the handlebars. If this was a portrait of a person, you've just made them a multiple amputee. The background isn't distracting, although I can't tell if that's from shallow DoF or a side effect of the HDR process, but opening up the image and showing the whole bike, or finding one particular aspect to focus on and showing all of that would be better, IMHO.

It's a little too cartoony for me, but it's an excellent subject for HDR work.

How many exposures did you get? Traditionally, we go for 3, but sometimes I like to go for 5, 7, or 9, depending on the conditions.
