I like the way the lines lead down toward the window. I'm not sure if the textures I'm seeing are natural textures or HDR-enhanced, though. Something about the way all the surfaces seem to have the same stippling seems odd, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Where is this?

this was taken at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. The paint and plaster is in disrepair so the texture is almost exactly like that.

That looks like a pretty neat location. I bet the textures would look pretty cool all by themselves if you could catch the light coming across them right.

I bet if there was a nice blue sky out that window this view from inside the prison would be more poignant. It would also contrast nicely with the orangey-brown plaster.

I've shot eastern state many times. The textures there are amazing and defintly lend to HDR. I've had the same problems with blown highlights out the windows. It's so dark in there that it's almost impossible to avoid this. And the worst part is you have to pay extra admission to bring a tripod. That being said, right before closing time is the best. The sky is the darkest and if you look around or bring a bean bag you can set your camera on a timer or use a remote shutter release. Here a couple of my shots from ESP.

Your pic looks great. Love the lines leading to the window. Like i said earlier, in my opinion under the circumstances, the blown out window is acceptable.

Looked into it but was only living in Philly for a year or so, and didn't know about it until it wasn't worth the cost. I could probably do a whole 365 project within the walls of this place.
