This is my first attempt at selective coloring, its a lil tricky to do with a mouse once ur close to the outline of the object you r colorizing but i think i did ok for my first attempt...

Hi.. it'd help us help you if you read the Critique forum rules and included the info required such as exif and a specific question.
Thanks!

Also wat do u think of the shot itself?? newbie photographer here....

Honestly I would suggest not doing the selective color effect at all because I feel it is extremely overdone and there are better ways to draw focus to your subjects.

Agreed it is overdone. I was just experimenting. Learning different things that can be done with your pictures in the editing process, and this jus so happened to be one of the first tutorials I came across online.

First off. I like this photo. But.. I feel that if the head of the guitar & the tuning keys were in crisp focus, it could draw you in to the subject by following the neck of the guitar to the center of the picture. As it is, it doesn't really "reach out" and grab me as much as it would if the head and tuning keys was more in focus. Especially since the guitar is the only colored part of the photo I think you would want it entirely in focus. Maybe re take with a higher f/stop for a greater dof. Over all I like this photo though good job

As much as I dislike selective colour, I kind of like this photo.
