Default How can I improve this picture? what would you do diffrent?

Everyone loves a book

Camera Canon EOS 550D
Exposure 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 44 mm
ISO Speed 1000
Exposure Bias 0 EV
Flash Off, Did not fire

Hi, This is my first post on here, how can i improve this image, and what would you do diffrently, do you think this would work with 2 rings?

You certainly nailed the heart shaped shadow, so that's very nice. If I were doing this photo, I would make sure that the book was significant to the couple...a favorite title, a beloved book when young, ...something like that. I would have probably kept the ring's color to make it stand out a little more.

Yes, it can be done with two rings. If you go to flickr and search
ring heart shadow
you'll get many examples of this type of shot. It's been done a lot, but it is a classic.

I agree with making the book relevant to the subject.

Otherwise, not to be rude, this image has been done to death, so if I were to suggest anything, it would be to try to somehow make it different, make it your own, twist the image, otherwise, it's just a copy of a oft created photograph. How exactly, I'm not sure. Play with shadows (ie more light sources), play with angles, anything.
