I think you've done a really good job of recreating this effect. The only thing I find slightly distracting is the center image is not the same size as the other two and my eye keeps comparing the three images instead of viewing the image as a whole. I think if you had used different images, as in different angles of the same child, it would be okay to mix it up. If you do use different images I'd still make sure that they were the same size so one or two where not larger than the others. Overall I really like the technique you used

I have to agree aboutthe size issue. Generally, in this type ef effect. the images are identical in size. Not a big deal, though. I like the effect you've created. I'd be interested in your workflow.

thank you both for your critique... i actually increased the size of the center one to break the monotony... somehow i like it better... but i do keep looking at it again and again... in the end i decided to let it be bigger... appreciate the input... maybe i'll look at it again with fresh eyes after a couple of days and decided against it...
this is the image that inspired me.. though i intend to print mine into a pillow hence the long side instead of square format ![]() albee.. my workflow is the same as the tutorial i googled... here's the link though i changed a lot of the workflow at the threshold part... but it is a good but somewhat long tutorial... http://www.melissaevans.com/tutorial...y-lichtenstein |
