Default Scripps pier HDR- bad weather

We are having a rainy weekend in San Diego so I decided to experiment with HDR. I would like your critique on overall HDR quality, settings and composition. I'm not sure the waves work well. Let me know what I could do to improve. All comments appreciated. Thank you!

I really like it. The use of wide angle particularly is nice. I think it works very well, and the waves look fine to me--it just looks like motion blur.

I love that you shot from the La Jolla Shores side; I'm always shooting from the Scripps side.

Thanks for your kind comments. I tried a couple from the Scripps side, but it didn't work... It is my last week in San Diego... I will definitely miss this place!

I like this shot also. I like the kelp for foreground interest and the pier to lead the viewer into the scene. I also like the more subtle HDR like you have done, not the over processed style. We've had so much rain in California lately, I haven't been able to get any good beach shots in a while.

I also like your shot! I think you achieved good exposure on the under side of the pier and in the foreground. I think it conveys a great feel of cloudy and windy weather. I would just sharpen it a bit.
