Default A Moment WIth Nature

I have a couple things about this photo, that I am not fond of...but not sure if I am being too picky.

Just wondering what others think. Is it pleasing or are there things you do not like?

TIA

Regarding composition, I feel it's too crowded. I would frame it differently, or now, crop it from the upper right angle, leaving out the bluish area on far left and part of the yellow branches in the foreground, which are blurred due to movement.

Regarding processing, I would brighten it a bit, add a bit of contrast with curves, and remove the light bluish cast (which is probably there because it was in shade, or due to overcast weather).

I really like this photo but what I immedinatly thought was that my eye is drawn to the yellow leaves in the bottom left corner. I want to look at the water but the leaves are so bright that that's all I really see. Just my 2 cents, other than that I love it.

I'm a big fan of the long shutter speed on water and you've captured it nicely here. What I see though is that your tonal range, colors and contrasts, particularly the greens seem flat and do not pop like they should on an overcast day. My suggestion is that you boost the blacks or do a levels adjustment, depending on your processing software to make it sing.

Also, the water is a little grey and if it's possible to whiten it just a bit (targetted exposure adjustment or dodging) I think it would improve (though this may be getting too near nitpicking). I really like your windmill silhouette on your Photostream, btw. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate your suggestions.

I also appreciate your compliment on the windmill shot, I was pretty happy with that one when I finished...and have had more compliments on that one, than I ever thought possible.

It's definitely better now but I think there's still a slight bluish cast all over the image. Did you try to take it down? Just open Levels adjustment and select the blue channel, then move the middle slider to the right, you'll see the effect. And water is still too grey in my opinion.
