Default Facination With HDR

I have become facinated by photographs processed with HDR and am trying my hand at the process using Photoshop CS5. This is one of my attempts and would appreciate any criticism which will help me to improve. TIA

Hello!
I don't like these over-cooked HDRs personally. I used to think that this is what HDR is supposed to look like but it turns out that that's not the case. Basically I think everything in your image looks surreal (in a bad way).

P.S. Please, check out the rules for each section before posting. You'll then know what you need to add to your post.

Thank U tingliM for your comments. Having "over-cooked" my initial submission, I have made some corrections and hope that this new HDR photograph is an improvment. All criticisms are welcome. TIA.

Hi Jamdoc,
I feel that your picture would do so so much better without the sky ... because, despite the very awesome depth of field portrayed by the sky, the deetail is not quite there .... For me, the sky (in the manner that it's present in the pic - colour/ posterization) is just not adding any positive dimension to the pic ... and the HDR has quite definitely posterized the sky ...

My take on the scene would be to work with the 0EV / -1 EV version only and bring up the shadow detail. What post processing software do you use?

Thanks for the critique zambie. I will be adding more of my attempts at HDR processing to the forum to see if I am making any progress.
