Question Please help me to learn

This is my second attempt at HDR. Its a hand held shot, I am working on getting a tripod, hence the image not aligning perfectly. Besides it not being aligned how did I do with the colors? How could I make this a better photo?

Nikon D60
f/4.5
1/400, 1/1000, 1/2500 sec
ISO-1018mm
+1.3, 0, -1.3 step
No flash
10/31/2010
pp Dynamic-photo HDR

Thank you for helping.

Nice capture, but a bit fuzzy.

You might want to adjust the EV differently.

Colors are OK, if you want it bright.

What software are you using?

I recommend Photomatix. It’s the best at the moment: HDR photo software & plugin for Lightroom, Aperture & Photoshop - Tone Mapping, Exposure Fusion & High Dynamic Range Imaging for photography

I think the sofware is called Dynamic photo-HDR, but I'm not for sure. It was a program put on my computer by my husband.

What is EV and how do I adjust it?

Have you read the manual on that software as to how to use it?

EV is Exposure Values. Exposure value - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You set different exposures on the camera from light to dark, typically at least 3 photos to merge the photos in an HDR program.

Auto Bracketing: Exposure: Glossary: Learn: Digital Photography Review

You can try Photomatix for free. Download it, compare to the program that you are using.

I'll give it a try. Is the EV the "steps"? If so mine were +1.3, 0, -1.3 step

Yes. You might want to lower those to not have such a wide range.

Here's another article: Bracketing with a digital camera

I like this. I like the bright blue and rusty orange, I like the straight lines and the fuzzyness creates a feeling of movement. I feel like I'm standing in "the nose" of a train like they do in Polar Express
