Default Looks good to me, but what about you?

I'm just getting into HDR and was wondering if the fine folks here at DPS could critique and possibly give me some pointers. The picture was compiled with Photomatix 3.

It's more of a natural HDR as opposed to the hyper-saturated HDR, which appeals to me, but might not appeal to others who like that exaggerated look.

There does seem to be a bit of a dark halo at the bottom of some of the clouds, and maybe some noise in the blue sky. The halo could be tweaked in Photomatix. To remove the noise, you'll probably have to open the tonemapped file in another editor and tweak the noise there. That, or try to get the noise out of the source images before you composite them in Photomatix.

As far as the shot itself, it's clean and sharp. You've pushed the horizon off the middle, which is good. I'm not sure if there's enough there to hold my interest. Maybe if the clouds were a little more dramatic, I might spend more time looking.

I like it but I think a few things could be improved. As IABoomer said, the dark halo/edge of the clouds, and I also think that the lower part (the tree canopies) needs some level adjustment. I just tried it with Levels in PS (you can do it with any other software that has levels). I selected the blue channel and tweaked the shadows and mindtone sliders a bit, the colours look much better, both the green and the blue.
