Whatever you "did," it ruined the quality of the background.
The composition lacks too, even though I believe you were trying to make it simple. The subject is in the center and a tree is growing out of it -- that's the way I see it. |

There appears to be a fuzzy, blurry halo around the barbecue. Also, the bokeh (out of focus background) is really, really, crazy. I don't know what's up, but the background is what pulls my eye.
The big problem that I find with HDR is that it removes the separation of subject and background. In this image, both the subject and the background are equally bright, and they both pull at my eye. Nothing really grabs me, compositionally, and so everything just seems flat.

thanks... even tho i am new at doing this HDR stuff...I am not sure how to "burn" in Cs4? will try to improve with suggestions now i look at it with your comments i can see how ugly it is..LOL..
I do know how to clone out stuff...
