Default Hiding water reflections

Can you comment on how well I have managed to post processed to hide the reflections of water...
If any wants to post process the pic and show me how well I could have done... I really appreciate it.

Sorry Nikeviswa I had to delete you're other critique thread since we only allow one request every 24 hours. Feel free to repost your other image tomorrow.

Can you please link to a smaller image the critique rules state that you should keep images down to 740 pixels on the longest edge.

As for reducing the reflections I think you did a really nice job. Having a circular polarizer (filter) on your lens would have done an even better job and require no post processing as well.

Do you own a one of these filters? They do wonders for removing reflections on non metallic surfaces such as water. They also make the blue sky's in your photo's pop more when you are 90 degrees from the sun.

EDIT: Just noticed these aren't the same picture (before and after) the critque section is for talking about one image. Personally I like the first image better there is more to look at, it doesn't look as muddy since it has more contrast in the image. Exactly what did you do to these images?

I agree that the first image is more interesting to look at, although I appreciate that the second must have been harder to edit out the reflections. What kind of processing did you do, with a little tweaking even in curves you could make the ripples in the water really pop.

Also, what shutter/aperture did you shoot at? both images seem like they could be a little bit sharper.

Great job on the reflections though

I think the image can be a bit sharper... I fully agree with a polarizer.. I have one for my 75-300 and its amazing. But I think you took the reflection out pretty well.

Thanks guys for the advice about the CPL filter. I myself was gonna ask if that filter would have helped here.
