I agree with the above. Why not try a sepia tone, that may give more of an old time feel to it.

For me it took a while to notice what was in the picture. Horses and people get kinda lost in the woods in the background. I'd also bring down the brightness in the sky a bit to get more details on the clouds. And the greenness. I don't get very nostalgic feel from it. Plus I'm not totally sure what you mean by nostalgic perspective but I'm guessing that it should look a bit old and so on? Anyway, I did quick fiddling and did what I suggested in the previous paragraph and added some sepia tone to the mask from blue channel. The horses/people still kinda get lost though. Actually they stand out better in the original.

Thanks guys! Very helpful comments!
How does this look? ![]() Is it still distracting? vsa - yes, by nostalgic, I meant an old kind of feeling, something you might happen to see in a grandpa's album.

Usually older pictures turn yellowish, not mint green. So you probably get more vintage look by switching the hue of the photo closer to yellow.
Now the horizon is perhaps a bit more distracting as you're left wondering if it's crooked by accident or not. Get it straight dead on or way way crooked. That's how it usually works. Usually being the operative word. I like the selective coloring thing you did on the last version.
