Default Tried the Vintage look

I totally suck at photoshop but wanted to try the vintage look using PE8 which was difficult as half the features weren't available on PE8. I followed some on-line instructions with this result:

I used my Sigma 70-300 lens which caused problems as I'm so used to getting up close and personal and the lens kept saying "NO!".

Is it too yellow?

Looking forward to your replies.

I don't think it's too yellow at all. I think there could have been a danger of the gloves standing out too much but they blend nicely with the rest of the image. I really like this effect and think this is a great example of it used well. It would be great if you could post a link to the online guides you mentioned.

I think you did a great job!

As cchipchase said, working with the gloves, there was a chance of this being too blown with yellow. But I think you did a great job.

I have been wanting to work with vintage, and attempted a couple of times, but I dont feel I came to close what you have done.

The only critique I could give, is the left side of her skirt is cut off....and leaves me feeling like I am missing something....

Bot overall, Nice job!

Thank you for your replies! The tutorial site I used was:

CoffeeShop Free PS/PSE Actions!: CoffeeShop Actions and Presets!

It was the Simply Vintage look that I used.

I like what you did and like the Coffeeshop actions. Take a look at the Pioneer Woman actions (google her). She has 2 free sets of actions that include a few variations on the vintage look. I like them even better than Coffeeshop. Have fun!

I'm not seeing too much yellow (yellow is part of the look and it should have some), but I am seeing too much green. Try doing and adjustment color balance layer and add a tiny bit of magenta to counteract the green hue.

Cute pic, Rachel!

I like the processing but it's a tiny bit too yellow for my taste.
