Default Stanley Hotel Estes Park CO

Lobby



I did wax this picture perhaps too much, but i got carried away with the whole experience of visiting what for me is a local piece of history. Does the color stink, and is the general composition a little too square looking?............

Any feedback would be most wlecome

I know there are some who would say the colors are overdone, but in my opinion, I love when they're a little out there. I think you did a great job on this, TFS.

i think that the colors are nice
only thing that i would do is cut from the top (just that wood).

I think you did an excellent job with the colors and textures in this photo. I'm fond of this style when it's done right as you did here.

The problem I see with the "square" composition is that it accentuates the slight lens distortion by making the curves in the beams and walls more noticeable. Possibly this could be fixed by applying some lens distortion correction in post, or you could have composed the shot differently.
