Default second attempt with texture

I came across a cool tutorial on blending textures and thought i would share my results.

this was my second attempt, you can check out my first here: Guiness on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

John Bellavia

Did i do a little too much? Do you think the border adds or distracts? Any suggestions on composition or anything else would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

oh and heres a link to the tutorial i used Thistle Applying and Blending Tutorial Promo on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I like it. It gives an awesome grunge look.

I agree. Not over done at all.

I love the work you've done here. It's not overdone at all...if anything - the duplication of the profile, give is more stucture.

Good job!

I love the border and background. I'd like to see it without the duplication and maybe touching up the masking around the hair particularly. Good job though
