Default Big ed

I`ve been trying out some post processing and not sure what you would call this style its not hdr , I used the dodge and burn tools aswell as adjustment layers to tweak levels and saturation. I would like to know if it works or overdone if so what i could do to improve the shot. thanks

I think it's generally very good, well exposed, but perhaps a little oversaturated? Though perhaps that's just Big Ed!

I like the stark contrasty feel (almost a Dragan sort of effect) but the saturation feels overdone.

Otherwise, it's a pretty standard, decent, centered portrait.

Hmmm, now looks a little flat... the first shot's problem was the skin tone was a little orange, perhaps adjust that rather than overall saturation.

I bet it'd look good, maybe even better, in b&w?

I`m lucky enough to have cs4 which is way beyond my capabilities but i`m hoping to grow into. I just did a basic conversion to b&w to see what it would look like

Mind if I have a stab at it? If you like it I'll tell you how I did it
