Default Band shot

I did tHELMA AND tHEODORE 1

I did my first band shoot, they want the pics to be processed different than I am used to. Is the skin tone too pink, are the black too black. Not enough processing, too much. I think I need more texture, which I am not familiar with.

what are they looking for? they are probably the best to judge...

the skin doesn't look too pink to me, hard to tell since it's very red overall. textures are easy and i can give you links to some good blogs/tutorials if that's what you need.

unfortunately they don't know what they want, they said "Looks great, keep going, yo" More texture links would be great. Thanks. I went with the tone, because this pink building is one they picked themselves, but maybe a try a tonal cast that will contrast the pink.

these are good starting places to learn how to use textures. I started about a month ago playing with them-- can get pretty creative! i have some posted in the before and after forum.

if you are using lightroom, killerlightroomtips.com has some great presets that you could have some fun with. there's one called sincity that would look pretty cool!

What kind of music do they play? Might give you a clue as to what kind of look to give the photo. I mean if they play Christian music, you wont want to give them a grunge look would you?

If it were my photo I'd try and make the background more simple. Clone out the sign on the side of the door. Remove the writing on the other side. The simpler the better. The more attention that goes to the band the better
