Quick Take to look like old Postcard

Although there are actual postcards for this historic rose garden... I saw a little opportunity and thought I should try something different..

I took the pic with all intentions of not doing much, but then started playing with some vintage feel, and some layers of color...
Then added the wording...




Does this remind you of an old postcard or too tacky?
Should I have cropped closer on the right of the pic or does the flag placement work?
Text okay?

Personally, I have been playing around with the "vintage" look myself and I love the feel of this photo turned into an old postcard! I would have put the flag closer to the right edge and I think if you increase the opacity of the writing it would jive more with the feel. The black seems so intense next to the tones of the image.

Definitively move the text right so the edge of the text is not up against the left edges of the image. I looks terrible like that (Not the vintage effect like that, the text).

Something looks off.

I think the color of the text is a little too bold.

I am not sure but it does not look as authentic as it should
